Also besides being a race, the British Grand Prix is also a commemoration of the history of Formula One. The race will be the 12 th competition in the calendar year 2025 to signify a mid-season Formula One race. British Grand Prix will be hosted at the famous Silverstone Circuit covering a distance of 5.891 kilometers (3.660 miles) with 18 turns and 52 laps and run on the circuit starting on July 4 and throughout July 6.
Much of the world-famous Copse, Maggots and Becketts are found there and the track has one of the most stressful and racing-focused layouts on the circuit. Some of the teams that base their home base in this location are McLaren, Mercedes, Aston Martin, and Williams just to mention a few.
Lewis Hamilton, Lando Norris and George Russell are also the British drivers whose presence will be seen at the event this year, and the rookie driver Oliver Bearman will also be present in front of their loyal homeland fans. This renders this race a special event to them all.
Despite his present performance with Ferrari, Hamilton has won nine races in this race compared to no other person. Conversely, his opponent Max Verstappen made the fastest lap at Silverstone in 2020 recording a time of 1:27.097. Hamilton was a narrow winner in the race of the previous year, which was held in rainy weather, beating Verstappen by the narrowest of margins, 1.4 seconds, with Norris in 3 rd place.

The 2023 version will be the last of the British Grand Prix to be hosted in an entirely dry facility and because of the weather prediction, there is a possibility that the race could be wet.
Red Bull will take the trip to Silverstone this year hoping to bounce back with a terrible performance seen in the Austrian Grand Prix. Verstappen had a collision with rookie driver at Mercedes Kimi Antonelli, and as a result, dropped out of the race during the first lap.
Another awful experience of Yuki Tsunoda was at the Austrian Grand Prix, as he ended up in the last place and was penalized with two penalty points.
Conversely, it is hoped that the RB21 will be successful at Silverstone circuit. Moreover, considering the fact that Verstappen is a wet-weather expert, the Dutchman may be very dangerous in case unfavorable weather factors come to play.
Another driver who is currently trying to reclaim himself is Kimi Antonelli, who took part in the accident that occurred with Verstappen and reimbursed his actions with a three-place grid penalty. And his colleague George Russell, who was left in sixth place in Austria because he could not keep up with the pace, both drivers will be keen to resume racing in the Grand Prix that is hosted in the home country of their teams.
Ferrari showed a solid performance at Austria, however, given the issue of balancing, the team will find it challenging on the high-speed corners at Silverstone racing Circuit. It is an opportunity of Hamilton to redeem himself on his own soil and this is also likely to be his first win in red since his last win in Belgium in 2024.
On the other hand, McLaren seems to be well off heading to the weekend. Because Norris and Piastri are used to landing in the top three, and Norris has a fanbase that is enormous, a win by the British fighter can indicate consecutive wins, and retain the title fight.
Aston Martin and Williams, which are equally competing at home, will be seeking to earn points. Sainz lost his car in Austria due to catching fire and Albon finished early on, thus Williams had a double DNF. This was a nightmare to Williams who was the last one to complete.
Meanwhile, Aston Martin that has been showing unstable results will be trying to savor as much support as they get on the home front.
The first, second and third places at Silverstone have been shared in the past two years between Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen and Max Norris with Oscar Piastri always in the fourth position. With drivers competing in McLaren to win the title, Hamilton driving with a different team and Mercedes seeking to rejoin, the question still remains to be unanswered.
